For years, the South Asian community in the greater Kansas City area, and specifically right here in Overland Park, had to make a compromise. We found ourselves hopping from store to store just to gather the right ingredients for a proper family meal. Our neighborhood was missing a true, modern hub where quality, variety, and community met under one roof.
As local residents who love this community, we decided to build the solution ourselves. Driven by a deep passion for our heritage and a frustration with the lack of local choices, we founded Reliance Mart. We didn't want to build just another generic grocery aisle; we set out to create a vibrant market specifically tailored to the families who live, work, and cook in Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, and across the Kansas City metro.
